Thunder Valley Biography
The Thunder Valley Tournament was founded at the town of Rushford MN. It started as a joke made to have a sixteen team, two on two tournament in the Summer. The idea of the joke was taken literally and the founders of the tournament carried out the idea into a tournament that held 60 plus students from the towns of Rushford and Houston MN. The winners of the first tournament were Trenton Vix a 10th grader assisted by his partner Cole Kingsley a 7th grader. The tournament was such a success that it was planned for another date for the second Thunder Valley Tournament. The second tournament took place with the number of 24 teams. The tournament lasted until 1:30 in the morning and featured the towns of Rushford-Peterson, Houston, Lewiston, and St Charles. The champions were Chris Stackhouse who is a junior and his partner Josh Vix a sophmore. The Thunder Valley tournament was planned to have a third tournament on June 4th. However, due to weather conditions the tournemnent was postponed to the 11th of June. The tournement was planned to have 32 teams in the tournement, however due to the postponement the tournement had only 22 teams show up. Trenton Vix and Cole Kingsley came up victorius for a second time in their careers. The Next tournament was gayly won by Josh Vix and Blake Lea (Blake Lea is now banned). Heading into the next tournament with a full head of steam for another championship ring, Trenton Vix and Cole Kinglsey both stormed the tournament early. They were heavily favored to win the game, however, Nick Thompson and his side kick "Too Easy" Kyle Johnson stole the show with an incredible tounrament. Kyle Johnson suprised every one attending the event (Like Seriously! No one even knew Kyle could do this) when he drove in with time running down and made a reverse layup to claim the Thunder Valley Tournament championship. (Nick Thompson smiled for the 1st recorded time in history)
The Godfathers or commonly known as Der Grunder meaning The founders in German and also Tworcy meaning creators in Poland. The Godfather are the founders and creators of the Thunder Valley Tournament. The Godfathers are Trenton Vix, Cole Theede, Chris Boehmke, Nick Thompson, and James Knutson. Godfathers promote and are huge benefactors to the Thunder Valley Tournament. There is and always will be 5 Godfathers but some who work hard enough can get promoted to a step Godfather. Step Godfathers are Zach Vix and Nick Hoff.
